  • What HV Brushless servos? Align BL700H and Align BL750H?

    Hi guys,

Well I'm doing my head in with the choices available. I'm after a set of brushless servos for cyclic and tail. I would have gone JR but they do not offer brushless which I like on the Logo 600. I am going to run 2S Lipo direct, unfortunately my current Spektrum servos are not rated for this which is a shame as they seem to work great otherwise.

I'm looking at the new Align (Align BL700H and Align BL750H) ones mainly now which are the same as the Savox SA02271SG and Savox SB-2272SG.

It seems Kyle Dahl ran them on his XXtreme for while but he's now running JR, probably because he is with JR (just guessing!).

The specs are by far the highest of any servo but I hear they're very power hungry - not such a problem with 2S lipo plugged right into VBar though I guess!

What are peoples thoughts on them?

Futaba BLS HV range I have just put in my TDR as they rate very highly and I know with them they will be as slop free in 2 years time as they are today. I went with the BLS157HV's and BLS256HV on the tail. They will eventually transfer to my XXtreme.

I run them directly on a 2s lipo in to the vbar too.

I had JR 8717HV (I think) servos too that were in my Srimok and they were great too. They are now on the bench waiting for something to gfo in.

They are not the same servo Laurence.
Savox make Align servos, but they are not the same as their own brand servos!

I have no issues with the HV Savox servos I use in my Logo 600's. 2271 on cyclic and 2272 on tail - faultless.

          Cheers,

I'm gonna try MKS HBL950 / 980 on my next 700, loads of the 3D Masters were using them this year. As Neil B said the Align HV's are very current heavy, think somewhere on the freak a guy managed to spike at 30amps.

All specs are exactly the same to the decimal along with the case looking rather similar. I wonder what the differences are.

But thanks for your feedback on the Savox ones.

Ill bring my 700e DFC HV down sunday have a fly of that it has the 700hv and 750hv servos might help make your mind up....personally I think there extremely good.....for the money there almost half the price of 157s and half the price of 8717hv's the others are awesome of course but......you will be hard pushed to beat 6090hv's and the new aligns....and believe me I dont do align servos but Ill make an exception for these.......

Align servos have always been excellent value for money but they just dont last as long as others before slop develops. I cant comment on the new HV servos as I have never run them and they only been out for 5 minutes

Yes, heres hoping as I would gladly buy them too. I run normal Align servos in my Fusion

I only went with the BLS157's in the TDR as I specifically wanted extremely strong ones as they will be under extreme forces in FFFF all the time so was not prepared to go with an unknown or others that I had not heard nothing but exceptional stories about. Also with the Futaba servos they are mustard regardless and I personally reckon them to be the best out there. Only my opinion of course but another factor was they are going in the xxtreme after so made sense to get daddy ones

The Align HV's are seriously power hungry. I think from memory a set of those took around 500mA on a gentle maiden flight on a 700e, where as my MKS HBL665/669 combo uses about 170mA per flight on a pretty aggressive flight on my Goblin.

I'm running Savox HV on the Fusion and they have been great, I choose to go with Outrage Torq servos on the Rave Ballistic and again superb. Then again I'm no 3D god like you

That is a lot of power draw, and I have heard they can burst amps up to 30A! For the small spec decrease I think I'd rather go with the Torq servos with helical gearing. There was top 3D flying back in the day with much slower servos anyway. I am just going HV to cut out a regulator as I can't trust them.

Thanks all for the replies. I will have to just wait for them to come back in stock .
